Where the Idea Came From

Over the past few years, many people have been searching for the same thing: space, nature, light, and simplicity, without the obligations of full-time living or large-scale property ownership. Southern Spain offers exactly that environment. What’s often missing, however, is a well-designed alternative between traditional housing and mass tourism.

ARTS Eco Village*™* started with a simple question:

What if there were a place where you could own a beautifully designed small home for retreats, holidays, and extended stays — surrounded by nature, calm, and good design?

That question became the foundation of this project.

A Project in Development — by Design

ARTS Eco Village*™* is not a finished product. It is a project in development, and we are deliberately taking our time. At this stage:

  • The land has been identified.

  • The architect is working on initial drawings and infrastructure studies.

  • Feasibility is being assessed carefully.

  • Conversations with local advisors and stakeholders are ongoing.

We believe responsible development means doing things properly, not quickly.

What ARTS Eco Village Is — and Isn’t

It’s important to be clear from the start.

ARTS Eco Village is:

  • A low-density village concept.

  • Based on wooden tiny houses and a limited number of high-quality glamping tents.

  • Designed for weekend retreats, holidays, seasonal stays, and remote working.

  • Focused on long-term quality and thoughtful land use.

ARTS Eco Village is not:

  • A permanent residential neighbourhood.

  • A project for full-time primary residence.

  • A mass tourism resort.

  • A speculative real-estate development.

An Important Clarification About Residency

The tiny houses within ARTS Eco Village*™* are not intended for permanent residency. They are designed for recreational and part-time use — such as:

  • Weekend escapes.

  • Holiday homes.

  • Longer seasonal stays.

  • Remote working periods away from the city.

This distinction is intentional and aligns with local planning regulations. It allows the project to remain low-impact, flexible, and in harmony with its natural surroundings.

Why Small Makes Sense Here

Tiny houses are sometimes misunderstood. This project is not about minimalism as an ideology — it’s about intelligent, comfortable living in the right context. Smaller homes mean:

  • Less maintenance.

  • Lower environmental impact.

  • More freedom to come and go.

  • Better integration into the landscape.

Just as importantly, it allows space for nature, views, walking paths, and shared outdoor areas — elements that don’t show up in floor plans, but matter deeply once you’re there.

Nature Without the Buzzwords

ARTS Eco Village*™* has a natural and ecological dimension, but not in a superficial way. We focus on:

  • Local vegetation.

  • Low-water landscaping.

  • Sensible use of the land.

  • Small-scale initiatives that fit the environment.

If a part of the land is better suited for plants, paths, or shared spaces than buildings, we leave it that way. The goal is not to maximize construction, but to create balance.

When Does the Project Become Operational?

A fair and frequently asked question. In Spain, development only truly moves forward once the required licenses are formally granted. We approach this step with confidence, but also with patience and respect for the process. Until then, ARTS Eco Village*™* remains a carefully developing project with a clear direction. This website — and this blog — exist to share that journey transparently.
